Galfar’s Infrastructure Unit has played a significant role in the development of Oman’s road infrastructure. With many years of experience, expertise, and innovative approaches, the unit has constructed world-class roads and bridges that have contributed to the planned development across multiple governorates of Oman. Leveraging Galfar’s extensive fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment, the Infrastructure Unit has excelled in over ground excavation, backfill, and reclamations. The unit’s expertise extends to airport construction, having built several airports in Oman. For instance, it played a vital role in the development of Salalah International Airport, executing all airside works as a joint venture partner. Additionally, the unit has constructed airports for Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) to facilitate all weather round the clock air operations to the oil fields. The Rusayl – Bidbid Road Expansion Project, adding third and fourth lanes, extends 27 kilometers from the Rusayl – Nizwa Interchange on the Muscat Expressway to the Al Sharqiya Expressway Interchange in Bidbid. The project includes service roads, pedestrian paths, expanded valley bridges, new intersections, and widened interchanges at Fanja and Bidbid. Dualization of Al Amerat-Bausher Road<\/p>\n

Design and Construction of Bausher \u2013 Al Amerat Road consists of 14.5 Km mountainous road, 2 Lane dual carriage way between Al Amerat and Bausher. The project starts from Bousher from the Muscat Express Way Interchange No.5 and ends at Al Mahaj R\/A at Al Amerat. This road has cut short the distance from Amerat to Bausher by half and the traffic congestion in Wadi Adai was considerably reduced<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Construction of Hasik \u2013 A\u2019Shuwaymiyah Asphalt Road<\/p>

The Hasik – Shuwaymiyah Road connect between Hasik and Shuwaymiyah in the north eastern region of the Governorate of Dhofar. The road is single lane carriage way with 7m wide and about 94 km long. Out of 94 km, 7 km near Hasik and 20 km near Ash Shuwaymiyah town lie in flat terrain. The balance section is going through various heights mountains and had no access.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
