Dualisation will steamline traffic flows between Muscat and Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
MUSCAT : Leading Omani construction firm Galfar has won the RO 53 million Al Ansab-Al Jifnain Road Dualization Project from Muscat Municipality. The project has a 30-month execution period plus a 120-day mobilization period.
The project will see the existing two-lane road widened to three lanes in each direction, with the construction of bridges and underpasses to replace the existing roundabouts. It is part of a package of development projects ordered by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to be implemented in the Governorate of Muscat during the five-year plan 2021-2025.
The Al Ansab-Al Jifnain Road Dualization Project is aimed at enhancing movement between the Governorate of Muscat and the two governorates of Al-Dakhiliyah and North Al-Sharqiyah, shortening distances, and serving plans, facilities, and urban neighborhoods adjacent to the road.
In a filing to the Capital Market Authority (CMA), publicly traded Galfar voiced confident that it would complete the Al Ansab-Al Jifnain Road Dualization Project on time and within budget, to the highest standards of quality and safety.
