This Unit  encompasses all the activities of the Oil and Gas Unit and expands  focus into Oil and Gas Plants for both upstream and downstream, Petrochemical Plants, Manufacturing Plants, Industrial Plants as well as conventional and green energy projects.

A niche technology and solution provider, Galfar Engineering and Contracting’s E & I Unit has been developed from the Oil and Gas Unit utilizing the wealth of experience gained from several years of providing services to the Oil and Gas Sector.  With capability to deliver medium sized EPC contracts in the Industrial sector, this Unit is slated to meet the current and future needs of the industry. Activities have been expanded to cover conventional and green energy projects as well.

With several years of proven capabilities in upstream service contracts comprising Design, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Services, the Unit has executed the largest contract in the history of Oman worth USD 2.19 billion.


 

The Unit handles service contracts, starting from wellhead hook-up up to delivery into and including gathering stations, in different forms for large, medium, and small-sized exploration and production companies including Petroleum Development Oman, British Petroleum, Occidental, Daleel, and others.

The Unit has constructed more than 60,000 kilometers of flowlines and pipelines of varying diameters and materials both below and above ground including associated services.

Partnering with multinational oil and gas companies, the Unit has carried out complex process requirements both in the upstream oil sector as well as upstream gas sector. Recent works include the construction contract for the Salalah Liquid Petroleum Gas plant and Yibal Khuff Oil and Gas separation, processing and Sulphur recovery plant.

It has built several oil storages tanks (fixed and floating roof) gathering stations, compressor stations, and Enhance Oil Recovery projects with complete controls and automation including DCS and SCADA control facilities, EPC of blast-proof buildings in the oil and gas sector.

For the Energy sector, the Unit has also designed and constructed power transmission systems from 11 kV to 132 kV and has capabilities of delivering power generation facilities.

The Unit boast of a team of 6000 plus highly skilled workforce. The division’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) record is unbeatable by others in the sector. With a previous record of being honored with the British Safety Standards “Sword of Honour”, it continues to excel in superior HSE standards.
